It all started on a road trip…
After planning a road trip across the American west, we realized that outdoor sports and info were scattered across multiple websites, apps, and books. We wanted to make the planning process easier.
Kaptain was created by adventurers for adventurers. Some of us have been surfing since 1969, while others have only been mountain biking for a few months. All of us do multiple sports and activities outside, which is what inspired us to create Kaptain.
After years of struggling to find new activities, plan trips, and research gear, we thought we could use our experience to make the outdoors more accessible for all.
